In today’s reading Luke lists how it was women that Jesus had tell the good news of His resurrection to His disciples. Women!!! These days women are defining themselves by how far they can go sexually, or how much clothing they don’t have to wear. These days women are seeking their value in the freedom they have, not realizing they are chained to other’s expectations of them. But only in Jesus are you really free. The Lord values women. In those days women were not seen as much, they were second class citizens. Information was not valid unless it was said or confirmed by a man. But Jesus made history, because all His children are equal. He values us, so how much more should we value ourselves. Our identity is in Him who conquered death.
