James 1:13-15
Temptation, it comes to all of us. It is so strong because it appeals to every aspect of our flesh. It’s when we let it settle, that it begins to consume us. When we entertain our desires, or the things we think we have the right to have, we give over our thoughts to sin. Temptation takes our hearts before sin defiles our bodies. Yes, we ALL face it. And yes, even Jesus was tempted. But what did He do? He combated it with the Word of God, he defeated temptation with Scripture. May we fix our eyes on the Jesus, and His Word.
Application: Beat back death with the Living Word of Christ. “For those that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” Galatians 5:24
