1 Peter 3:13-22
When we look around and compare ourselves to what others have we might feel like we have been short-handed. The suffering we feel, and experience on earth is a result of this fallen world. Yet, Christ never says that as Christians we won’t experience it. He actually promises that we will face difficult times. That realization isn’t to make us want to run and hide, but fully rely on Him. He suffered something He never deserved. But He was victorious- and is victorious. When we suffer we can call on Him and He will be faithful to carry us through. Psalms says that in His presence there is fullness of joy. We can face good and bad times and still have joy when we are rooted in Him, and He is our center.
