Thessalonians 4: 3-5

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor”

Interpretation: Our culture is constantly telling us that we should not limit ourselves to how far we go sexually. They tell us that we “cant” stop because we don’t need to; it’s our instinct, or our choice. They say that we aren’t accountable to anyone but ourselves. We can have sex with whoever we like, as many times as we would like. But the Bible says different. Jesus says a completely different message. When we give our lives to Him, we submit in everyway. This belief has now become so radical in our society that to stay pure until marriage puts you into a super, small minority- even in the church. But a follower of Christ is called to be strong, and stand before the wind the world blows our way, unwilling to bend. NOTE: being a Christian does not condemn you to a boring life without love. God created good, laughter, and love. But sexual actions (ALL sexual actions) are to stay in the confines of marriage.

Application: pray for the ONE the Lord has for you daily. Pray for a daily outpouring of strength from Jesus to walk through this life purely.
